I am... a teacher

Computer Science

I teach computer science to GCSE level, working from Scratch and Small Basic to BBC Microbits, Python and VB.Net

ICT

I've taught ICT across KS3 and 4 since 1996, and provide many of my resources on the TES Resources site.

Google Educator

I am a certified Google Educator (Level 2), and deliver training to schools on using Google Apps for Education, including Google Classroom.

YouTube

I produce ICT based video tutorials through my YouTube channel, which has thousands of subscribers and millions of views.

I am... a writer

I am an author, having written and published two children's books, and a non-fiction book on creative writing. My books are available to purchase through many popular retailers, including Amazon.

I am currently working on several new book projects, including a science fiction novel (Eric and the Theory of Everything), another children's book (Captain Bogey's Horrible Adventures), and an educational book (Memory Coaching for Schools). I am... a stormtrooper

For several years now I have supported two children's charities by dressing up as an Imperial Stormtrooper from the iconic Star Wars films and taking part in a variety of feats, including over 1,000 miles of long distance running across the UK.

Later this year I'll be climbing Mount Snowdon dressed in full stormtrooper armour.

Software Development

I write software, both for retail and available free. My latest project is The Wordometer, a tool to help writers avoid distractions while working.

Pyrography

Pyrography is the art of drawing and writing with fire, using tools to burn images on wood or leather. I enjoy creating items, which are available to buy through my website pyrogifts.com.

Photography

I am a keen photographer, and enjoy being an active part in various online communities. A selection of my recent images can be found on Flickr.com.

Gaming Tutorials

As a keen gamer I produce a variety of how-to videos on YouTube helping other gamers how to achieve certain things or improve their understanding.
